About Jack Wright

I’m Jack Wright, a horror writer from the North of England.

Up here the nights come early, the streets fall quiet, and the hills seem to hold their breath. Those landscapes have always stayed with me, shaping the stories I tell – stories of haunted places, fractured memories, and the shadows that linger just beyond the light.

For me, horror isn’t only about scares. It’s about atmosphere, unease, and the unsettling sense that something is not quite right. It’s the creak in an empty room, the reflection that doesn’t move when you do, the dream that feels like a memory. My writing leans into that tension, drawing from folklore, forgotten histories, and the uncanny moments in everyday life.

Duskfield Pines

My debut novel, Duskfield Pines, is on the horizon. It’s a story about a town that has lost more than it remembers, where grief and guilt twist into something much darker. At its heart, it asks how far we’ll go to escape the past – and what waits for us when the past refuses to let go.

Subscribers here will be the first to hear news about the release, see artwork, and read early excerpts before anyone else.
